"As Time Goes By" is a song written by Herman Hupfeld for the 1931 Broadway musical Everybody's Welcome.
It becomes famous when it was re-introduced in 1942 in the film Casablanca sung by Sam (Dooley Wilson)
Ilsa: Play it once, Sam. For old times' sake.
Sam: [lying] I don't know what you mean, Miss Ilsa.
Ilsa: Play it, Sam. Play "As Time Goes By."
Sam: [lying] Oh, I can't remember it, Miss Ilsa. I'm a little rusty on it.
Ilsa: I'll hum it for you. Da-dy-da-dy-da-dum, da-dy-da-dee-da-dum...
[Sam begins playing]
Ilsa: Sing it, Sam.
Sam: [singing] You must remember this / A kiss is still a kiss / A sigh is just a sigh / The fundamental things apply / As time goes by. / And when two lovers woo, / They still say, "I love you" / On that you can rely / No matter what the future brings-...
Rick: [rushing up] Sam, I thought I told you never to play-...
[Sees Ilsa. Sam closes the piano and rolls it away]

Rick's reaction is so disgusting!
How can he be so rude towards such a charming lady?
Most of all, I dun like his face!
I dun like the movie, no matter how many times I've try hard to see it thro'!
The problem must be from me, not the movie!
But I love the song. Thanks, Mr. M!
That scenery’s pic with the song’s lyrics you sent me is still sticking on my office’s partition, thou’ the words on it are fading away.
Cary Grant is the actor I like most, and his An Affair to Remember(1957) is my all time favorite.
